| The book
"There's Magic: 54 Poems" is a collection of 54 poems that were
written in one evening. The poems are short, but sweet thoughts
about some of the magical things in life. Diane had not ever
written any poems prior to that evening and has not written any
since. After Diane wrote the
poems on a yellow legal pad, her son and daughter proceeded to
help her type and illustrate the poems. She shared them with her
family. After reading the poems her father-in-law thought they
should be shared with others and proceeded to help put this book
together and get it published. |

Author Information
Diane Elizabeth Lawrence held engineering positions with the Aerospace Corporation, Hughes Aircraft and McDonnell Douglas Corporation.
Diane is also a Trustee of The
Lawrence Foundation. Diane received a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a master's degree in engineering from the
University of California, Los Angeles. She has never thought of herself as a
poet, which makes these poems even more remarkable. Magical things do truly
happen.
